Driven by passion

My journey into the fitness industry hasn’t followed a typical path, and that's exactly what makes my coaching different.

For most people, fitness starts in a gym.

For me, it started with a passion for sport, performance and pushing my limits.

In my late teens and early twenties, I proudly represented Great Britain in Judo, competing across the UK and Europe. Those years taught me lessons that still shape the way I coach today: discipline, resilience, consistency and the understanding that success is rarely built through one big effort. It's built through small actions repeated over time.

After stepping away from competitive judo in 2004, I moved into endurance sport and triathlon training. This opened up a whole new world of learning around strength, conditioning, recovery, nutrition and long-term performance. Alongside my own training, I gained industry-recognised qualifications in Advanced Personal Training, Sports Specific Training and Group Exercise, including Indoor Cycling, Circuit Training and Aqua Fitness.

But while qualifications and experience matter, my biggest lesson came away from sport.

For over 20 years I built a successful career in leadership roles with major brands including Marks & Spencer, Tesco and JD Sports. During that time, I coached teams, developed people and led large-scale projects. What I discovered was that the same principles that help people succeed in business also help them succeed with their health:

Clear goals.

Simple systems.

Accountability.

Consistency.

Most people don't fail because they lack information.

They fail because life gets busy, motivation comes and goes, and they struggle to stay consistent.

That's why I now describe myself as The Consistency Coach.

In 2024, I made the decision to leave the corporate world behind and commit fully to helping people improve their health and fitness.

That same year, I completed Ironman Barcelona after a 14-month journey that transformed my own life. During that period, I lost over 40kg, improved my sleep, stopped drinking alcohol and completely changed my relationship with health and wellbeing.

I didn't achieve those results through extreme diets or unsustainable training plans.

I achieved them through consistency.

That experience reinforced everything I now teach my clients.

Today, I work as an Online Coach and Fitness Instructor at David Lloyd Worthing, delivering more than 20 classes each week, including their flagship BLAZE sessions. I also support clients across the UK through my online coaching programmes and the Better Together Nutrition Club community.

My coaching philosophy is simple:

You don't need the perfect plan.

You need a plan you can stick to.

Whether your goal is sustainable fat loss, improved fitness, increased confidence, better energy levels or simply feeling healthier, my role is to help you build the habits, structure and accountability needed to make those results last.

No quick fixes.

No extremes.

No starting again every Monday.

Just a practical approach that works in the real world and fits around your life, your family and your commitments.

If you're looking for a coach who understands the challenges of balancing health, work and family life, and who believes that consistency beats perfection every single time, you're in the right place.

Because lasting results aren't built in a day.

They're built one consistent decision at a time.

The Consistency Coach

Driven by personal belief

My personal transformation journey started in September 2023 at the age of 49.

At the time, I was overweight, lacking energy and knew something needed to change. Like many of the people I now coach, I wasn't looking for a quick fix. I was looking for a sustainable way to improve my health, fitness and quality of life for the long term.

Over the following 14 months, I lost 42kg (6 stone 9lbs), completely transformed my lifestyle and achieved something that once felt impossible, becoming an Ironman Triathlete at Ironman Barcelona in Calella in October 2024.

The journey wasn't built on perfection.

It wasn't built on extreme diets.

And it certainly wasn't built on motivation alone.

It was built on consistency.

Small decisions made every day.

Choosing to train when I didn't feel like it.

Making better nutritional choices more often.

Prioritising recovery and sleep.

Staying committed when progress felt slow.

Showing up, again and again.

Along the way, I didn't just transform my body. I transformed my mindset, my confidence and my understanding of what is truly required to create lasting results.

That experience has become the foundation of everything I teach today.

I know what it's like to start from scratch.

I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed.

I know what it's like to juggle health, work, family and everyday life.

Most importantly, I know what works.

Today, I coach multiple group exercise classes every week at David Lloyd Worthing, including their flagship BLAZE programme, while also supporting clients through online coaching and the Better Together Nutrition Club community.

My mission is simple:

To help people stop relying on motivation and start building the habits, routines and consistency that create lasting change.

Because if a 49-year-old retail professional can lose 42kg, become an Ironman and completely transform his life, imagine what you could achieve with the right support, accountability and plan.

You don't need to be perfect.

You just need to keep showing up.

One consistent decision at a time.
